Minor Concentrations - MIN (Consists of 5.0 credits as described below and 10.0 elective credits to total 15.0)

Spanish - SPAN

5.0 credits in Spanish. The courses chosen must not duplicate work already completed either in university or pre-university study. Required courses include the following: SPAN 010* and SPAN 112* (or SPAN 101), SPAN 204* and SPAN 205* (or SPAN 201), SPAN 301* and SPAN 302* (or SPAN 303* and SPAN 304*), SPAN 251 or SPAN 261. 1.0 credit from SPAN 247*, SPAN 248*, IDIS 200 or IDIS 201 is acceptable for credit toward fulfilling the requirements of this program.

Students entering with previous knowledge of Spanish and placing out of specific language courses may replace those credits with literature and/or culture courses.

 

Italian - ITLN

5.0 credits in Italian. The courses chosen must not duplicate work already completed either in university or pre-university study. Required courses include the following: ITLN 010* and ITLN 112* (or ITLN 101), ITLN 204*, ITLN 205*, ITLN 300*, ITLN 301* and ITLN 230. 1.0 credit in IDIS 200 or IDIS 201 is acceptable for credit toward fulfilling the requirements of this program.

Students entering with previous knowledge of Italian and placing out of specific language courses may replace those credits with literature and/or culture courses.
