Geography - GPHY
1 9.0 credits in geography including GPHY 101* and GPHY 102*; GPHY 207*; GPHY 208*; GPHY 209*; GPHY 210* (or GEOL 200*); GPHY 247* and one of GPHY 242* or GPHY 243* (or GISC 201*); 1.0 credit in human (or regional) geography at the 200 level or above; 3.0 credits at the 300 level or above in physical geography or techniques, research methods and geographic information science (or GISC), with 1.0 at the 400 level; 1.0 additional credit selected from courses in physical geography or techniques and research methods.
2 2.0 credits numbered 100 or above selected from two of the Departments of Chemistry, Mathematics and Statistics or Physics, Engineering Physics and Astronomy. 1.0 credit numbered 200 or above in physical, natural or applied science.
NOTE Students who began this concentration before 1 September 2008 are not required to take GPHY 207*, GPHY 247* and one of GPHY 242* or GPHY 243* (or GISC 201*), and 3.0 credits at the 300 level in physical geography or techniques, research methods and geographic information science (or GISC), with 1.0 at the 400 level, but are required to take GPHY 210* (or GEOL 200*), two of GPHY 240*, GPHY 242*, GPHY 243* (or GISC 201*), GPHY 244* (or GISC 202*), GPHY 247*, GPHY 249*, and 3.0 credits in physical geography or geographic information science (GISC), with 0.5 at the 400 level.
