Arts and Science Academic Regulations and University Policies Regulation 19    Dean's Honour Lists

Regulation 19    Dean's Honour Lists

a    Students on a degree program who have obtained a weighted year average of 80.0 per cent or more will be placed on the Dean’s Honour List and will have this honour noted on their transcripts. To be eligible for the Dean’s Honour List the following conditions must be met:

i    Full-time students must have completed a minimum of 4.0 Queen’s credits in the current Fall-Winter Session to be considered for this recognition.

ii    Part-time students will be considered after the completion of 4.0 Queen’s credits and every 4.0 Queen’s credits thereafter.

iii    There may be no failures and no repeated courses in the course registrations for the relevant academic session.

iv    The weighted year average is calculated on all courses taken in the current Fall-Winter Session and the preceding Spring-Summer Session. All final grades and changes of grade must be submitted by 1 June. There may be no outstanding grades, such as ED, IN or IP. Because decisions related to this regulation are solely dependent on particular levels of academic performance, no part of Regulation 19a may be appealed.

To be eligible for the Dean’s Honour List with Distinction the following conditions must be met:

i    Full-time students must have completed a minimum of 4.0 Queen’s credits in the current Fall-Winter Session to be considered for this recognition.
