Curriculum for Commerce Students Year I - Specific required courses (to be completed September-April)
       
COMM-103*†        Business Management  and Communication (3.0 units)
COMM-111*†        Introduction to Financial Accounting (3.0 units)
COMM-112*†        Introduction to Management Accounting (3.0 units)

Elective courses in first year: Students choose an additional 6.0 units in Arts & Science to achieve the normal course load for the academic year (September-April) of 33.0 units.  Students may select additional courses up to a maximum of 36.0 units, and they may drop below the normal load if they wish. Students are stongly encouraged to discuss their courseload with an Academic Advisor if they plan to take more or fewer units than the normal load for their year of study.

Elective courses in second year: Students are required to enroll in 9.0 units from the Faculty of Arts and Science. The normal course load for September-April is 33.0 units. Students may select additional courses up to a maximum of 36.0 units, and they may drop below the normal load if they wish. Students are strongly encouraged to discuss their courseload with an Academic Advisor if they plan to take more or fewer units than the normal load for their year of study.
        
Year IV - Specific required courses (to be completed September-April)
       
COMM-401*†    Business and Corporate Strategy I (3.0 units)
Arts and Science courses (6.0 units minimum; 12.0 units maximum) total maximum Arts and Science units towards BCom degree is 39.0 units, minimum is 27.0 units, not including ECON-110.
       
Elective courses in fourth year: Students select additional courses in Commerce or Arts and Science to a maximum load of 36.0 units if registered in a dual degree program or under exceptional circumstances.  The normal year IV course load is 27.0 units.
