In November 2010 the Government of Ontario announced the creation of the Ontario Trillium Scholarships (OTS) program, a significant initiative to attract more of the best qualified international students to Ontario for Ph.D. studies. Each OTS will be worth $40,000 annually to the recipient Ph.D. students, and is renewable for four years (subject to conditions). Any prospective international Ph.D. candidate, from any field, is eligible to be nominated (subject to conditions).
Selection will be made by the Fellowship Committee of the School of Graduate Studies through the annual internal fellowship competition. Departments/Programs nominate new international Ph.D. students for this competition. Information on the application process, and the internal competition deadline will be circulated to all graduate departments/programs annually.
