4. Glossy Buckthorn
      Rhamnus frangula

One of two European species introduced toCanada, the glossy buckthorn is considered to be a small tree or shruband was originally used for hedges. It is distinguished  from otherbuckthorns by the lack of teeth on the edge of the leaves and the 5-8 veinson each side of the central leaf vein.
