Message from the Instructor

This course is designed to supplement your basic language skills in French by allowing you to engage in everyday interactions using and understanding frequently used expressions.

There will be opportunities to regularly interact with classmates, myself, and teaching assistants throughout the course using the Elluminate web conferencing platform and Moodle discussion boards.  However, your success will rely very much on your own personal efforts. You are expected to cover a large amount of material and make use of the numerous resources provided through Tell Me More, an excellent language learning program.  I have divided the material into 12 weekly units of a reasonable size to guide you through the course. Nonetheless, the course will require a considerable commitment of your time. It is therefore important that you pace yourself to keep up with the different units and not fall behind.

In each unit you will watch short video clips, view images, listen to native speakers and have an opportunity to practice speaking and writing through a range of reading, writing, listening and pronunciation exercises.
