Suggested Time Commitment
Success in this type of course relies heavily on the students’ personal efforts. Since students will be expected to cover a large amount of material and make use of the numerous resources provided on their own, it is important that they pace themselves appropriately to keep up with the different units. Students who are unable to set aside sufficient time to work on the various online course components on a regular basis will have difficulty completing this course satisfactorily. In addition, students may find that they need to work through elements of each unit a number of times in order to perform at an appropriate level. As a general rule, students should expect to spend about 8-12 hours/wk (or on each assigned unit).
