Assignment 1 10% TBA

Final exam 45% You must write and pass the final exam in order to pass the course.

Note:

  • Each of the 3 essay assignment should be about 1,500 words in length.
  • Each of the 12 online/journal entries should be 250-500 words in length.For each journal entry, you are asked to comment on the readings you have to cover.
  • The assignments and journal entries are to be submitted online through the course web site.

Final Examination

Students must write their exam on the day and time scheduled by the University. The start time may vary slightly depending on the off-campus exam centre. Do not schedule vacations, appointments, etc., during the exam period (please refer to Important Dates). For more information about Off-Campus Exams please refer to:


Exam Format

The 3-hour final examination will be given as specified in the University regulations governing examinations (see the Faculty of Arts & Science Calendar). No reference or supplementary material will be allowed, and the exam will be proctored. The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions, and will be based ONLY ON THE TEXTBOOK. You can practice for the final exam using your study guide, the publisher's website, and the textbook CD.
