Message from the Instructor

Welcome to Social Psychology (Psych 241)! My name is Erica Refling and I will be your course instructor for the summer semester. I am a doctoral student at Queen’s University in the Social-Personality Psychology Program. My research mainly focuses on female body image, particularly within romantic relationships; however, I also examine the behavioural consequences associated with the sexual objectification of women. I am fascinated by how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are influenced by the social context, and I hope that all of you (if you haven’t already) will develop a keen interest in Social Psychology as the semester progresses.
