Queen's UniversityOff-Campus Exams
- Students must write their exam on the day and time scheduled by the University. The start time may vary slightly depending on the off-campus exam centre. Do not schedule vacations, appointments, etc., during the exam period (please refer to Important Dates).
- Final examination for online courses are not scheduled during the evening or on weekends.
- Most online courses require a supervised final examination at an established exam centre. Queen's has exam centres around the world. However, if there is no centre listed within 100km/60 miles of your location, please enter code #9999 (remote) and e-mail the Continuing and Distance Studies office immediately following registration for further information.
- Off-campus students who register in an online course that has a final proctored exam will be charged a $75.00 exam fee. If your course does not have a proctored exam, enter 1111 when prompted for the exam centre code. This will ensure that you will not be charged the exam fee.
- Students who need to change their exam centre location must notify Arts and Science Online Office by the deadline (listed below) to avoid a late administrative fee of $100.00
- The last dates to change the exam centres for the fall/winter are:

Where to Find the Exam Schedule:
- The exam dates are posted SOLUS. Information on how to view your exam time is available at: http://www.queensu.ca/registrar/currentstudents/exams.html .
- For students writing at an off-campus exam centre, details about the exam location and the start time of the exam will be sent to your @queensu.ca e-mail account approximately 10 days before the exam.
- Be sure to check your Queen's email for important information about your summer course exam (if applicable) or contact us if you don't receive this information.
