2013 Summer Term Registration is open in SOLUS.

Summer Term is organized into three sessions:

Registration Procedures:

Step 1:  Access SOLUS through My.QueensU to register in Summer Term courses

In order to register in Summer Term courses you must have a NetID and password so that you may log in to My.Queen'sU  If you have not activated your NetID please access http://www.queensu.ca/its/netid.html 

Access the Student On-Line University System (SOLUS) through My.QueensU  to register in your courses. To select courses, choose the 'select courses' option at the upper right on the page. 

Before searching for classes, set the Term to  "2013 Summer" and  the Course Career  field to  'Distance Studies'.

You may browse and choose courses by subject. You may add or drop courses using the add, drop, or swap functions in SOLUS during the registration period. Consult the Summer Important Dates for add and drop deadlines.

NOTE:  If you have an outstanding debt to the University you will not be allowed to register in Summer Term courses.

Step 2:  Make your Tuition Payment

Once you are registered in your course, access SOLUS to view your tuition fees.  The full amount of your tuition is due on May 1st  for courses  in May-June and May-July sessions and July 1st for courses in July-August session. If you do not make payment by this date you will incur service charges.

Your Student Number is Changing:  As of spring 2011, students numbers are eight-digit numbers. Numbers that were previously 7 digits long now have a “0” (zero) as a first number. For example, the former student number of 1234567 is now 01234567.

If you use online or telephone banking to pay your tuition be sure to update your banking information to reflect the change to your student number. 

Step 3:  Access your course materials

Your course syllabus will contain all of the information you need to begin your course, including grading scheme, assignment schedules, required texts and information on accessing course materials.

Students who have stopped out for a term or more: If you have been away from Queen’s for one term or more you must complete a Return to Studies Form in order to resume your studies. Once completed the form may be faxed to (613) 533-2467 or dropped off at Room F200, Mackintosh-Corry Hall.
