Held in Kingston in June, the Kingston Conference on International Security focuses on timely issues in defence and security. Since 2006, the conference has established itself as a major event on the North American defence research agenda.
From 2006 to 2011 KCIS was organized by a partnership between the Land Force Doctrine and Training System at Canadian Forces Base Kingston, the Strategic Studies Institute at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, the Chair in Defence Management Studies at Queen’s University, and the Centre. In 2013, the Centre, the Land Force Doctrine and Training System, and the Strategic Studies Institute welcomed the Royal Military College of Canada to the KCIS partnership.
