Classics Travel Grant

Established in January 2010 by friends of the Department of Classics.  Granted to graduate students or senior undergraduates registered in a program in the Department of Classics.  The grant is available to contribute to the support of field research that must be carried out at a considerable distance from Queen's University.  Granted on the basis of academic merit and the feasibility of the proposed field study research (and its relevance to the applicant's studies at Queen's and/or beyond as described within the Department of Classics Travel Grant application).  Selection will be made by the Department of Classics Awards Committee.  Award winners should note that the award will first be applied to the student's fee account should there be any outstanding fees.  The full amount of the award (or the balance after outstanding fees) will be forwarded to the recipient in a cheque or deposited to the student's online-listed bank account.
Application deadline: May 1, 2012.
