DEPARTMENTAL FACILITIES

The Department is housed on the second and third floors of Carruthers Hall.

PhD students are provided with research space close to that of their supervisor.   Those working with faculty located in Carruthers Hall will have their office area located on the second floor of Carruthers.  Students working with supervisors located elsewhere will be based in these locations.

Administrative and faculty offices are located on the second floor, along with research office space  for upper year graduate students and research associates.     

The third floor is dedicated to first year students in the MSc and MPH program.  There is a quiet study room with desks  and locked filing cabinets for students, as well as a more open student room  furnished with couches and work tables.  This room includes a photocopier and a telephone.

The graduate office is located on the third level.  This floor also includes a  a small seminar room and a lab/teaching space for 36. 

Carruthers Hall is a wireless building and all desks in the student area and the lab space are wired for power.  Students are strongly encouraged to provide their own laptop computers.  Both a SAS licence and an SPSS licence will be available on two departmental computers for student access.   Photocopy, fax, and office supplies are provided on a cost-recovery basis.
