On January 20, 2011, Senate approved a process to review and revise the original Queen’s University Strategic Research Plan (SRP) – first published in 2003 and updated in 2006. These revisions were intended to respond to a shifting research landscape and changing research directions, yet it was also a clear priority to maintain the standards by which we work day-to-day, uphold the respect we have for our faculty, and stay true to the values of our academic community.
In drafting updates to the SRP, it was critical that the Research Community Committee include your feedback. Your interests and concerns were important for shaping a document that we can all be proud of, we all endorse, reflects the vision of the research community, and fits the needs of everyone at Queen’s.
The Queen’s Strategic Research Plan 2012-2017 was unanimously approved at the Queen’s Senate meeting, May 22. To encourage your ongoing feedback on this document, this blog will remain active.
