A process for revising the Strategic Research Plan (SRP) was approved by Senate on January 20, 2011. It is expected that the review process will take place over a 12-14 month period. Briefly, this process involves the following five steps:
- Establish a Research Community Committee (RCC): completed February 2011
- Consult faculties to provide input on the RCC’s suggestions
- Seek broad community consultation
- Draft a first version of the SRP
- Create the penultimate draft that will help guide the university’s research initiatives
March 30 and April 5, 2011: The first meeting of the SRP Community Committee will be held on two separate dates to accommodate this large group with complex schedules Meeting Minutes
