The Centre’s name has been changed to reflect the expansion of its mandate to incorporate a distinctive stream of research on diversity and democratic governance. This stream will be built around the work of Queen’s researchers from the Ethnicity and Democratic Governance Project (EDG) whose members have joined the Centre.

Ukraine project publishes books on combating racism

Two new books on police responsibilities in combating racism have been published by the “Building Democracy” project to support education about democracy and human rights for law enforcement personnel in Ukraine. Both are based on syntheses of international literature. One focuses on, Combating Hate Crimes, the other on Racial Profiling .
