Mrs. Jyoti Kotecha is an Assistant Professor Adjunct and the Assistant Director of the Centre for Studies in Primary Care (CSPC). Jyoti has over 18 years of experience in health care research and management, at the national and international level and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the South East Local Health Integration Network in Kingston.
Her research interests include: detection of mobility disability in older adults; mobility disability in association with chronic disease (diabetes) and primary healthcare models that support healthy aging at home.
Jyoti has a Masters degree in Public Administration from Queen's University and has been awarded the title of Chartered Chemist by the Royal Society of Chemists, UK. Presently, Jyoti is a PhD candidate in the School of Rehabilitation at Queen’s University.
In her role as Assistant Director, Jyoti is responsible for financial reporting to the VP of Research, day to day operations, strategic planning, mentoring and supporting faculty research, and developing the community and aging research portfolio.
