Nancy Dalgarno

Education Researcher and Consultant

Nancy Dalgarno, PhD recently joined the Department of Family Medicine and the Centre for Studies in Primary Care as an Education Researcher and Consultant. She is researching and evaluating the Competency-based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum in the family medicine residency program, with a specific focus on assessments and cultural shifts. Nancy is also involved in research aimed at determining how electronic medical records can inform competency-based decisions and curricular design. Nancy received her PhD in Curriculum Studies from Queen’s University and her MEd in Policy Studies from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto. She shares her time with the Office of Health Sciences Education.
