Primary Care Research Day, hosted by the Queen’s Department of Family Medicine’s Centre for Studies in Primary Care, was held on Thursday, February 27 at the Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront. Second-year residents presented the results of their research and scholarly projects at this annual event, attended by 176 participants this year.

Dr. Colin Cochrane and Dr. Shawna Comstock: Best Resident Project – Research “The experience of pregnancy during family medicine residency”
Dr. Chemanthi Kalen: Best Resident Project – Poster “Approach to acne scar management for the family physician”
Dr. Jesse Zroback: Best IT Project – Research “Development and evaluation of a mobile device application for the history and physical”
Dr. Corey Boimer: Best Resident Project – Critical Appraisal/Audit “Digital nerve block techniques – a systematic review and meta-analysis”
