"The CFPC Departments of Research and Health Policy & Government Relations collaborated to produce a document highlighting the “Seven Wonders of Family Medicine Research Studies”.
The document is intended to be a convenient and easily explainable demonstration of the unique value that FM research brings to medicine through generating evidence and promoting innovation i.e. to be used when meeting politicians, media, members of the public etc. The seven wonders were specifically chosen for that purpose, and the papers are not intended to be a perfect representation of the best FM research papers ever published, as some other excellent research papers are not included. These papers highlight a breadth of issues addressed and populations studied by family physician researchers from across Canada and have contributed to tangible improvements in Canadian health care." - Alan Katz
