Congratulations!

Congratulations to the following members of the Centre for Studies in Primary Care, Department of Family Medicine who have been awarded funding from the SEAMO Educational Innovation and Research Fund.

  • Dr Karen Schultz, Dr Richard Birtwhistle, Dr Jane Griffiths, Dr Jonathan Kerr and Laure McEwen. Project Title: Assessing Competency Curriculums and Ensuring Educational Equity: Program Evaluation of the Queen’s University Department of Family Medicine Distributed Sites Belleville, Kingston, Peterborough. Award amount: $13,101.
  • Dr Willa Henry, Dr David Barber, Jyoti Kotecha. Project Title: Innovative Intervention model to better orient family medicine residents to caring for seniors in long term care – an evaluation. Award amount: $13,950.

In addition we would like to congratulate Dr Karen Schultz for winning the CAME Research Award for the Best Poster Presentation. This was awarded to Dr Schultz at the Canadian Conference on Medical Education in St. John’s, May 2010. A special thank you goes to Susan Hannah for working on the graphics for the winning poster presentation.
