Research Grant funds in the amount of $125,000 have been provided to the Centre for Studies in Primary Care (CSPC) by the Department of Family Medicine which will allow us to provide seed funding on a competitive basis to support faculty within the Department of Family Medicine (DFM) to conduct pilot studies each valued between $5,000-25,000. Faculty within the DFM are requested to submit a research proposal using the form and guidelines provided within the form by February 15th 2013 via email to Jyoti Kotecha, Assistant Director CSPC: firstname.lastname@example.org
Proposals submitted by faculty will be reviewed by an appointed review committee chaired by Dr Richard Birtwhistle, Director of the Centre for Studies in Primary care. Proposals supported by this initiative will be those that align with the research strategic priorities of the DFM and the CSPC. Broadly speaking, research that will be supported will focus on developing primary care health systems interventions that can inform better delivery of care to vulnerable populations in our region, clinical research, development disability research, veterans health, and population health.
