Dr. Ian Casson Co-Leads Launch of Health Checks Toolkit for Patients with IDD

Dr. Ian Casson has co-authored a report about the need for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to receive regular health checks, and has played a lead role in developing a Health Checks toolkit to help primary health-care providers in caring for this patient population.

Dr. Mike Green is Co-Principal Investigator on a newly funded project

The project, titled "A Comparative Analysis of Centralized Waiting Lists for Unattached and Complex Patients Implemented in Six Canadian Provinces" was awarded over $98 000 by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). Researchers at the CSPC will complete this project over the next year, starting this summer.

The Centre for Studies in Primary Care hosted its Primary Care Research Day on Thursday, February 25 at the Four Points Sheraton in Kingston. Second-year residents presented the results of their research and scholarly projects at this annual event, attended by approximately 194 people this year.
