Healthcare Program Evaluation and Aging Research

In response to healthcare reform and increasing pressure on the healthcare system, the CSPC has developed a research arm dedicated to improving the health and wellness of communities across the South East LHIN. Through collaboration with various community stakeholders, research initiatives target vulnerable populations such as frail seniors, palliative care patients and those with multiple and complex conditions. Our Community Projects research arm aims to bridge knowledge gaps, inform provincial and national policy development as well as to design, implement and evaluate innovative healthcare programs that deliver patient-centered, high quality care to vulnerable populations.

The Community Projects research portfolio continues to grow each year. Current projects include an evaluation of a rural Hospital at Home Demonstration Program in Prince Edward County, Ontario, an environmental scan of Seniors Associations in Ontario to enhance collaboration between Primary Care and Seniors Associations in the Kingston region and an environmental scan to support the development of a Community Paramedicine and Wellness Clinic program in Frontenac County and the City of Kingston.
