Each year, the Provost's Office hosts a reception to honour teaching award winners at Queen's University (both internal awards and external non-discipline specific awards). This is an informal and celebratory occasion for teachers to chat with their colleagues.
On Monday, November 25, 2013 Vice-Provost (Teaching and Learning) Jill Scott, in collaboration from the Centre for Teaching and Learning, hosted the Teaching Awards Reception for winners of all Queen's University teaching awards in 2012-2013. It was a wonderful evening, where outstanding professors and TAs were honoured for their deep commitment to improving the quality of teaching and learning at Queen's.
Cory Laverty, Head, Education Library and winner of the 2012-13 OCUFA Teaching and Academic Librarianship Award spoke to the other award winners about her passion for teaching. A transcript of her speech will be available shortly.
