Agilent Technologies Excellence in Teaching Assistant Award for 3rd Year Chemistry Laboratory

An award, sponsored by Varian Canada, is given annually to the laboratory teaching assistant in a second year course who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the education of chemistry students in a laboratory setting. Each award consists of $500 and a framed award certificate.

David Thomas Teaching Assistant Award

The David Thomas Teaching Assistant Award, valued at $500, will be award to the laboratory Teaching Assistnat in 2nd year Synthetic Chemistry who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the education of chemistry students.

Department of Chemistry Award for Excellence in Teaching Assistance

An award, sponsored by the chemistry department’s DSC, is given annually to the tutorial teaching assistant in a second year course who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the education of chemistry students in a tutorial setting. Each award consists of $500 and a framed award certificate.

Din Lal Teaching Assistant Award

Each year, the Department of Chemistry of Queen's University shall honor seven teaching assistants who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the education of undergraduate chemistry students of Queen's University.

Fisher Scientific Teaching Assistant Award

An award, sponsored by Fisher Scientific Canada, is given annually to the laboratory teaching assistant in a second year course who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the education of chemistry students in a laboratory setting. Each award consists of $500 and a framed award certificate.

Graduating Class Award for Excellence in Teaching Chemistry

This award is given by the Graduating Class in Chemistry to recognize a faculty member for their excellence in teaching.

      2011 - 2012 Suning Wang

William Patrick Doolan Award

The award is given annually (in April) to the graduate student who is deemed to have contributed the most to demonstrating in the first year chemistry laboratories. The value of the award is current $500 and was set up to honour the memory of William Patrick "Paddy" Doolan who was a laboratory instructor for many years in the Department of Chemistry. The idea for the award came from several Professors Emeriti in Chemistry who donated the money to establish the award.
