Queen's Drama Award for Teaching Excellence

Nature of Award

This acknowledgement is awarded annually to a member of the drama faculty who has been nominated by the students for exceptional dedication to the department of drama in and out of the classroom.

Nomination Criteria

Any member of the drama faculty is eligible to be nominated for this award.

Nomination Procedure

A nomination period allows for students to fill out an application nominating a member of the drama faculty they feel has provided exceptional dedication to the department of drama in and out of the classroom.

Selection Process

A committee of 6-8 students concentrating in drama, from a multitude of years, review the applications and statements. After analyzing the applications, they come to a consensus as to which is most superior and which faculty member is most deserving of the award.

Presentation of Award

The award is presented annually at the Drama Somewhat Formal. This event is a yearend celebration of the work of the graduates, as well as work done throughout the year in the department.
