Physical and Health Education Student Association (PHESA) '88 Teaching Award

Nature of Award

To recognize the outstanding contributions of professors in the School of Kinesiology and Health Sciences in the areas of academics and activities.

Nomination Criteria

Academics: candidates must be available beyond class time hours, friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and present well prepared lectures.

Activities: candidates must present enjoyable classes, and able to break down sports techniques so they are fun.

Nomination Procedure

Professors are nominated by undergraduate students, who must write a short paragraph on why the professor should receive the award. Nomination forms are available from the Physical and Health Education Student Association (PHESA) bulletin board.

Selection Process

A panel of PHESA council members review the nomination forms and pick one winner from the Academics category and one winner from the Activities category.

Presentation of Award

The awards are presented at the Physical and Health Education Formal at the end of the year.
