About the Series
The Focus on Active Learning series has been designed for graduate and undergraduate TAs who support students’ active learning in any teaching and learning environment at Queen’s— blended, hybrid, online, flipped or conventional courses that feature, or aspire to feature, active learning. The series offers one-off workshops on a variety of pedagogical, ethical and technological topics directly related to supporting active learning; however, there will be time and space to share ideas with peers from across disciplines and to build a TA learning community. A CTL facilitator will be in attendance at every workshop to help regular attendees align the content and concepts across the multiple workshops into a coherent whole.
Regular attendees who choose to may work to earn a Focus on Active Learning certificate, awarded by the Centre for Teaching and Learning.
