Emerging Leadership Initiative (ELI)

The Emerging Leadership Initiative (ELI) is a certificate program designed with emerging leaders in mind. Program participants do not have to hold a management/supervisory position at Queen's to apply or participate. ELI is housed at the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), but is a collaborative program by stakeholders representing various colleges/schools across Queen's. The ELI Working Group provides leadership regarding the program.

ELI provides an opportunity for Queen's stakeholders who are interested in developing leadership capacity and enhancing performance. It focuses on 3 levels of leadership and features 12 core competencies related to teaching, research, and service.

The program is open to all Queen's stakeholders:

  • pre-tenure and adjunct faculty
  • graduate students
  • librarians/archivists
  • post-doctoral fellows
  • researchers
  • staff
