Session Description

Personality Dimensions® is based on leading-edge research into human motivation and behaviour. This tool helps us understand what motivates behaviour in people with different personalities or temperaments. Presented in an informative, interactive, self-discovery format, this training provides participants with insight into their own unique style in addition to providing practical tools to increase interpersonal communication skills in all aspects of their lives.

Session Objectives

Participants will:

  • Explore and identify their own temperament type
  • Analyze their own type and explore options for growth and development
  • Gain understanding and appreciation of different personality types and how these differences manifest themselves in today’s diverse workplace
  • Learn strategies to apply this self-knowledge when interacting with others

1.2 Emotional and Social Intelligence Leadership

Session Description

Each social context is different.  Understanding the essentials about Emotional and Social Intelligence will assist you as you interact with different personalities.  Learn to foster a more productive and engaging collaborative environment. New research shows that, unlike IQ, Emotional and Social Intelligence can be developed and increased during any point in your career. This workshop is interactive, and aims to give participants practical insights and approaches to add to their 'toolkit'.

Session Objectives

Participants will:

    • Understand how critical EQ is for individual and team performance
    • Learn the core capabilities that make up Emotional and Social Intelligence
    • Become familiar with the science behind EQ
    • Proactively deal with other’s emotions because you better understand your own

      1.3 Intercultural Awareness

      This session will introduce basic concepts of intercultural competence and will provide participants with an opportunity to assess their competence using Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI).

      Session Objectives

      Participants will:

      • understand the concept of culture in relation to the theory Developmental Model of intercultural Sensitivity (DMIS) and the survey tool Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI);
      • understand their orientation to questions of cultural difference.
