“Teach Talk: Conversations on Teaching” (TTCoT) is a new Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) initiative commencing in the Fall. Our main objective is to engage those involved in teaching at Queen's University through informal conversations about pedagogical successes and areas for growth in the classroom. Topics for discussion will evolve with participants input during sessions.
The first conversation will focus on the Pedagogical Dilemma of Using or not Using Technology in the Classroom. This topic caught our attention following Technological Divide in the Classroom: Two Professors with Opposing Styles Debate the Merits and Drawbacks of Teaching Unplugged an article published in The Journal on July 31 featuring our Political Studies professors, Dr. Jonathan Rose and Dr. Wayne Cox. At this session, we will discuss dates and options for the next conversation.
