Curriculum Development

Curriculum development describes the process by which instructors create new courses or revise existing courses using critical self-reflection, student feedback, and in some cases, peer evaluation strategies.

Most educators frequently revise and update their course or experiment with new approaches to make the teaching and learning process more effective and enjoyable. However, systematic curriculum review of a program falls outside the expertise of nearly all university faculty. The Centre for Teaching and Learning can help you with the process as you structure your curriculum development proposal, implement curricular change, and monitor/assess the impact of the change.
