The program will offer 3 core courses for MA and PhD students. Students must take 2 of the 3 core courses, although they may take all 3 if they choose. The three core courses are Critical Methodologies in Cultural Studies, Cultural Studies Theory and Cultural Studies Historiography.
All other courses will be electives, drawn from the list of available courses. Additionally, in order to graduate from the program, students must attend CUST 802, the program seminar series.

The seminar series will include research presentations from Queen's faculty and students, as well as external speakers, which will take place during some of the weeks when there is no professional development seminar (CUST 802 Seminar Series ).
