As a cultural studies student at Queen’s, my research will focus on the informal arts within the community and the cultural policy that shapes such practices. I want to look at how we should rethink our cultural institutions and cultural policy in order to offer a more inclusive arts and culture sector. Research interests include cultural institutions; inclusive Arts and Culture; participation vs. spectatorship; civic engagement; vernacular culture; healthy communities; and ethnographic research.
