Language Requirements

Students are encouraged to gain a facility in a language other than English that pertains particularly to their own scholarly and career interest.

Queen's has undergraduate language courses in Italian, Spanish, French, German, and Arabic. In cases where the appropriate language courses are not available at Queen's, student are able to access courses through distance education, immersion, or self-study.

Residence requirements and distance delivery

Residence requirements are those of the School of Graduate Studies and are applicable to PhD programs in general. This residence requirement is four terms, two of which must be consecutive, of full time study at Queen's University.

We have no plans to offer distance delivery of this program.
