Department of Global Development Studies


    DEVS 305, an interdisciplinary course 6.0 unit course which also counts towards degree requirements in the departments of Film and Media Studies, Sociology, Languages, Literatures and Cultures and History, will be taught over Winter and part of Spring term 2014. The session dates are as follows:

    Session dates:

    • Queen's Portion: Regular Winter Term, beginning January 9, 2014 (Three hours weekly - Thursday PM)
    • Registration will be open after successful applicants are accepted in the course (October 4, 2013)
    • Havana portion Saturday May 3, 2014 through to Sunday May 18, 2014

    Deadlines and Dates

    • Friday September 27, 2013: Applications due (Click here for 2014 Application)
    • Friday October 4, 2013:  Successful applicants notified
    • Friday October 11, 2013:  Program fee of $200 due
    • Friday November 29, 2013:  Full program fee payment ($2,300* minus $200 deposit) due (*Program fee is estimated at the same as 2013)
    • Thursday January 9, 2014:  Queen’s portion of classes begin
    • Thursday April 3, 2014:  Queen’s portion of classes end
    • Saturday May 3, 2014:  Flight from Toronto to Havana
    • Sunday May 18, 2014:  Havana portion of classes end, return to Toronto
