    DEVS 305 CUBAN CULTURE AND SOCIETY COURSE 2015

    DEVS 305, an interdisciplinary course 6.0 unit course which also counts towards degree requirements in the departments of Film and Media Studies, Sociology, Languages, Literatures and Cultures and History, will be taught over Winter and part of Spring term 2015. The session dates are as follows:

    Session dates:

    • Queen's Portion: Regular Winter Term, beginning January 8, 2015 (Three hours weekly - Thursday PM)
    • Registration will be open after successful applicants are accepted in the course (October 3, 2014)
    • Havana portion Saturday May 9, 2015 through to Sunday May 23, 2015

    Deadlines and Dates

    • Friday September 26, 2014: Applications due (Click here for 2015 Application)
    • Friday October 3, 2014:  Successful applicants notified
    • Friday October 10, 2014:  Program fee of $200 due to DEVS Office by 3PM
    • Friday November 28, 2014:  Full program fee payment ($2,450* minus $200 deposit) due to DEVS Office by 3PM  (*Program fee is estimated)
    • Thursday January 8, 2015:  Queen’s portion of classes begin
    • Thursday April 2, 2015:  Queen’s portion of classes end
    • Thursday April 30th to Thursday May 7th, 2015:  Queen's Intensive Pre-Departure Sessions (schedule TBD)
    • Saturday May 9, 2015:  Flight from Toronto to Havana
    • Sunday May 23, 2015:  Havana portion of classes end, return to Toronto
