Prospective students must first apply to Queen's University. See www.queensu.ca/admission.
Admission to the DEVS programmes is based on your Queen's university grades (cumulative average). There is no predetermined grade cutoff. SOLUS simply accepts students with the highest grades in descending order until the degree option is full.
Your first year at Queen's is considered a general year of study. We highly recommend that you register in DEVS 100 in your first year as this is a prerequisite for second year DEVS courses. At the end of your first year you choose between a Major, Medial or Minor programme in Global Development Studies by declaring your plan on SOLUS at the beginning of the preregistration period (mid to late May).
Mid to late May, Arts and Science students will request their degree plan via SOLUS. For more information on preregistration see www.queensu.ca/registrarFrom the beginning of June you can access SOLUS to view your approved programme. Course selection begins towards the end of June.
