The Minor degree in Global Development Studies is intended for students completing a three-year degree in Arts and Science, or for students completing a Major in another discipline who would like to have global development as a secondary field of study. Students apply to the Minor plan after their first year in Arts and Science and should have completed DEVS 100.
A DEVS Minor consists of 30.0 credits in DEVS and DEVS-eligible courses. 12.0 credits are mandatory and 18.0 credits are optional, as follows:

| Work-study option – DEVS Minors may apply to the DEVS-Fudan semester abroad programme (DEVS 421*, 430, 431, 432) but are NOT eligible for the independent work-study courses (DEVS 410*/411* and 420*). |
