The Off Campus Activity Safety Policy is approved by the Board of Trustees and encompasses activities such as Semester Abroad Programs. All undergraduate students participating in an activity that requires them to cross an international boarder are immediately deemed high risk and are therefore required to complete OCASP Form 1. Consequently, all students who travel to Shanghai as part of the DEVS Semester Abroad Programme at Fudan are required to submit an OCASP Form 1. Failure to complete Form 1, prior to your departure date, will void your exchange to Fudan, and academic credit will not be awarded for courses taken in violation of OCASP.
In order for the Director of Global Development Studies to assess the risks associated with the Fudan program, completion of the Form 1 must meet the following minimum requirements:
Queen's University International Centre (QUIC) supports Queen's students in their preparations for study/work/travel abroad by facilitating the Emergency Support Programme (ESP)for Study/Work/Travel Abroad. All students participating in the Fudan Programme are required to sign up and attend a Pre-departure Orientation session with the Queen’s International Centre, JDUC, and complete all the documentation required by Queen’s University prior to departure.
