The Queen’s Drama Department is proud to present Our Winter Major production:

Blood Relations

By Sharon Pollock

Did you, Lizzie?
Blood Relations, winner of the Governor General's award in 1991, tells the story of Lizzie Borden who was accused, tried and acquitted in 1892 of murdering her father and stepmother at their home in Massachusetts.

The play is set in 1902 and focuses on Lizzie Borden, and her friend, The Actress. Together they revisit 1892 as The Actress tries to uncover what really happened the day that the Bordens were murdered.

Directed by Greg Wanless, founder and former Artistic Director of the Thousand Islands Playhouse in Gananoque, Blood Relations will take the audience on a psychological journey, and attempts to answer the question "Did you, Lizzie? Lizzie, did you?"
