All students in the graduate program in English at Queen's are members of the GES. Through the GES, students can voice and address concerns common to the graduate student body. We hold monthly meetings open to all members. We also elect members to departmental committees where they represent student interests. In addition, the GES serves both professional and social purposes, sponsoring colloquia and Lexis exchanges, and parties. Meetings and announcements are posted in various places throughout Watson Hall, usually one to two weeks before the meeting. If you have questions about the GES, or one of its specific functions, please feel free to contact either our society President or one of the other members of the GES Executive.
For more information about the GES, including the duties of elected representatives, please see the GES Constitution.
