Choosing a Plan
Now that you are entering 2nd year, you must decide which Plan you wish to pursue. To register in courses for 2011–12, you must select a Plan on SOLUS. Students without a Plan will not be allowed to select courses for the 2011–12 academic session.
Please visit the ARTS AND SCIENCE WEBPAGE for information about SOLUS.
There will also be a presentation introducing SOLUS in all sections of ENGL 100 during the week of 14 March.
Steps in choosing your plan
Check Plan Prerequisites: To select a Plan in English you will need to have completed a ENGL 100 with a final mark of B or higher for Minors and Medials, and B- or higher for Majors.
If you do not have this prerequisite but still wish to select an English Plan, you can be added to a “pending” list if your final mark in ENGL 100 is C+ or higher.
Select Your Plan: Access SOLUS from 16–27 May to enter Plan requests.
“Pending” students check for Approval of Plan Requests: This information will be available on SOLUS between 30 May and 10 June.
Access SOLUS to Obtain Your Preregistration Appointment Time: Your Appointment Time indicates your start time for selecting Fall-Winter courses.
Some courses fill quickly! We advise that you access SOLUS as close to your start time as possible; however, you may access SOLUS to select/change your courses at any point between your start time and the end of course selection.
