Each graduate student in the School of Environmental Studies is assigned a desk in the Graduate Student Office, Biosciences Complex, 2nd Floor, Room 2112b. Our overflow room is Rm 3204 Biosciences. PhD students will have desks in Rm 3224 Biosciences.
Keys to desks are available through Karen Topping (Room 3132) against a deposit of $10.00. Access keys to the office and building may be obtained from the Department of Biology General Office, 3rd Floor, Room 3111. Forms completed during MES Orientation and a deposit of $45.00 ($40.00 will be refunded) may be dropped off at this office between 8:30 and 12:00, and 1:00 to 4:30. Students will be notified once the keys are ready for pick-up. Upon degree completion, please return the respective keys to Karen Topping and the Department of Biology General Office for a refund of the deposit.
Electronic Mail: MES students are required to set up their own email accounts on queensu.ca. The Queen's account is used for all internal mailings. Students may choose to have their mail forwarded from their off-campus account.
Mail: MES students are assigned a joint mail box in the main office (Room 3134), marked Room 2112b, 3204 or 3224. Your mailing address at the School of Environmental Studies is: School of Environmental Studies, Queen's University, Room 3134, Biosciences Complex, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, K7L 3N6.

Internet access is available at every desk in the graduate student office for those students who wish to bring their own computers. There is one computer located in the office for joint use by all graduate students.

To place an external call, dial 9, followed by the phone number. Personal long-distance calls require a phone card. For research-project related calls, ask Karen Topping (Room 3132) for a long-distance code.
Printers are available in the Grad Student rooms. Please ask Karen Topping for information on their use.
Toner and printer cartridges may be disposed of by returning them to Room 3134 in a box marked "recycle."
For use of the photocopier in Room 3107, 3rd Floor, please contact Karen Topping to obtain the appropriate photocopying code.
