Animals in Science and Education Week featuring Dr. Helena Pedersen

APPLE and the School of Environmental Studies are delighted to be hosting a series of events featuring Dr. Helena Pedersen (University of Gothenburg, Sweden) an internationally renowned scholar of critical animal pedagogy. Professor Pedersen is visiting under the auspices of the Principal’s International Visitor program, from October 16-18, 2017.

2+2 Exchange Program with Tongji University in Queen's Gazette

The Queen's School of Environmental Studies has collaborated with the College of Environmental Science at Tongji University in Shanghai to offer students the opportunity to spend two years of their four-year degree program at each university. 

The Queen's Gazette showcases the experience of Peiwen Li and Ying Chen, who will graduate from this program in the spring:

QNS Env. Geochem Candidate Public Seminar: 1) Sasha Wilson

Sasha Wilson currently of Monash University, Australia, will be the first of four candidates up for a Queen's National Scholar position in Environmental Geochemistry, jointly supported by the Department of Geological Sciences and the School of Environmental Studies. 

Dr. Wilson will be delivering two presentations:

“The stability of carbon dioxide storage in (sticky) minerals”
