In-Person Training Types

four people posing for photo standing beside green garbage binThe Equity Office provides four in-person courses for Employment Equity Training:

  • Appointments/RTPC for Faculty Hires: This training is required for faculty members on appointments or RTPC committees as mandated by the QUFA/Queen's University Collective Agreement.
  • Employment Equity Representative for Faculty Hires: This training is required for faculty members, who are designated as the Equity Representatives, on appointments or RTPC committees as mandated by the QUFA/Queen's University Collective Agreement.

And,

  • Staff Hiring: This training is recommended for committee members on staff hiring committees.
  • Staff Equity Representative: This training is recommended for committee members, who are designated as the Equity Representatives on staff hiring committees. 

Note: Employment equity training is only required if you will be on a hiring committee. Delegates requiring EE Rep training for QEAP access are asked to contact the Equity Office for registration assistance.

The Equity Office provides two in-person training sessions for Equity and Inclusion for Senior Administrators (Grades 10 and above). This workshop represents a rare opportunity for senior administrators to reflect on key human rights, equity and inclusion concepts as well as the importance of these concepts to university administrative functions.

Prerequisites Note:

  • The Appointments/RTPC training (for Faculty Hires) must be completed before taking the Employment Equity Representative training.
  • The Staff Hiring training must be completed before taking the Staff Equity Representative training.
  • Equity and Inclusion Module 1 must be completed before taking Equity and Inclusion Module 2.
