Description:

Please join us for one or all of a six-part series to support the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL), which we define as the study of how we teach and how students learn. The series is co-sponsored by The Centre for Teaching & Learning, the Office of Faculty Development - Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Office of Health Sciences Education. It builds on last year’s introductory series on educational research.

A theoretical framework in SoTL research refers to the learning theories on which you base your assumptions about learning and the methodology that articulates your research approach. This session offers examples of theoretical frameworks used in SoTL research as a means to guide your research approach, select your methods, and interpret your findings.
