Join us for an informative luncheon with guest speaker Janice C. Hill, Ed'99, Director of the Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre at Queen's, who will be presenting a talk entitled "The Way Forward: Indigenizing Queen’s."
Since returning to Queen's as Director of Four Directions, her focus has been on creating visibility and a safe and welcoming environment for all, but most specifically for Indigenous students, faculty and staff, through the creation of a learning community dedicated to raising up Indigenous knowledge and presence. She will be speaking about these efforts, the recent report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Task Force at Queen's, and the path forward.
The Cha Gheill Luncheon is an ongoing series of educational lunches presented by the Senior's Group of the Kingston Branch of the Queen's University Alumni Association. These events are open to all members of the Queen's and Kingston communities.
